John discussed his involvement with a non-profit organization called USA Cares which helps post 9-11 vets and their families.He has also recently written an album called The Mission which is all military-based. We discussed his musical career briefly including how he worked with Meat Loaf, wrote a song for Roger Daltrey, and of course about writing his number one hit "St. Elmo's Fire (Man in Motion)."
