DARK SIDE OF THE MOVE. A collection of pseudo psychedelic, space age instrumentals from the sixties featuring our ALBUM OF THE WEEK "Music From the Tomorrow People" by Delia Derbyshire. Remember The Tomorrow People? ITV's seventies sci-fi cash-in featuring long haired kids who could travel through space and time! The soundtrack was entirely electronic drones and a beautiful compilation of the music was released by the fabulous Trunk Records a few years ago. We're using the album as a pleasant background to our inane chat!
Tonights show also features new songs by The Fall, old songs by The Doors, Lee Dorsey, The Monks and many more including a ripping instrumental by Luton's best instrumental band, The Knockouts.
'Dark Side of the Move' also highlights the eternally crazy Cherry Blossom Clinic (Revisited) by The Move. Apologies to Terre T from WFMU for stealing her logo!
