Possibly the most important and influential band of the 20th Century New York's Suicide only had two members, Martin Rev on instruments and Alan Vega on vocals. Light years ahead of their contemporaries they fused Rock'n'Roll with electronics and launched a thousand imitators all over the world!
From primal rock to sweet and tender ballads this band couldn't put a foot wrong and when they took a prolonged break Alan Vega created some solo albums that rank amongst the greatest albums ever made (and Martin Rev also popped out a few albums showing off his musical, and even vocal, talents!) This selection of tunes barely scratches the surface of Suicide and Alan Vega's solo work… there may have to be a follow up!!! "... I never heard anything avant-garde. To me it was just New York City Blues."
