One of the Playback Sessions from 2009: 'Right Now' borrows its title from the track produced by NYC's talented deeper House producer Jihad Muhammad. For me, he holds a gregarious and invitingly cool knack for putting together superb, uplifting vocal tracks - Tamara Wellon's timely arrangements and message turns this into a rather special no., overlooked by too many soulful House clubbers.
Once again the essence of our Playback club nights mixtapes is to bring about a nicely gathered sound consortium of Underground Dance; jazzy House to Afro elements, Broken Beat and more genres - hybrid mashups in abundance. Set down as something else, with a twist, it's left of center, designed to get you going where ever your dance floor is - plenty to keep you sweet even if a little matured for the spotters out there, the vibe is irrefutably fresh.
Thanks for listening, playing and sharing the link.
