Having started his Phuzion label back in 2006, Hertfortshire’s Nookie has built a solid reputation for himself in the realm of deep drum & bass and that’s a fact liquid d&b pioneer LTJ Bukem is once again backing by inviting him to come and play alongside a selection of similarly minded, dancefloor operators here in Room Two on Friday night. But Nookie’s not just focused on his own career, following the record buying trend of people accessing and purchasing music digitally, he started the digital arm of his label, Phuzion Digital, to help young talent come through the ranks and get noticed in an environment where “it’s very hard for new, up & coming producers to get their work heard as many labels aren’t in the position to invest money in to new artists”.
