I discovered Herd's sound only last year, when he released another installment in his Tangents series on Future Sound of London‘s own label, fsoldigital. I’ll be honest, being a huge fan of everything FSOL since the early 90s, I was immediately blown away!

"This mix is a nod to the legendary 3D Headspace/ISDN transmissions which were broadcast by The Future Sound of London in the mid to late 1990s. These soundscapes as well as the Radio One Essential mixes were what inspired me to begin making music many years later. The tracklist contains exclusive Herd material alongside FSOLdigital label mate Seafar as well as a healthy dose of FSOL themselves. Alongside are other artists whose tracks in some way reflect “the interplay of light and dark” for which FSOL became famous for." - Jason Thomson (aka Herd)

Am a massive FSOL under all guises and a great mix Herd ! how about Future Music Herd ? Yeah I loved all the ISDN transmission and the 3D headspace tour and all material by Dougans & Cobain !!!

Cheers for the comments - yeah those essential mixes were great.Not much like that around these days.Im working on the next mix - looking for a site / podcast to show it on if anyones got any ideas?

those essential mixes were fuckin great tho weren't they ? , just redownloaded em recently , still sound wicked ,i always found it a weird irony the way they became a "normal" band pretty much exactly the same time radiohead stopped being one i would love to hear them do an album together , anyway , sorry that was tangent tastic .The mix sounds deep im really enjoying it .
