This week we begin our look at the 2012 Songlines music awards now in their fourth year and we start wth the nominees in the Best Goup category. There's plenty of great groups in our album of the week, the re-release of two cds in one, Cumbia Cumbia Vol 1&2 on World Circuit. In the broadcast we mention how cumbia has evolved and can perhaps be considered as early fusion music.
