The weather’s perking up here in the UK, so this Friday’s FACT mix is an excuse to get Tropical with none other than Wales’ Doc Daneeka.

We’re being a bit facetious of course; Tropical is the latest in a series of buzzwords in London’s dance music scene (average life span: six months), which we’re guessing only really emerged because it’s one of the default styles on a MySpace Music profile. But at least it’s better than post-dubstep. And dubbage, at that.

We actually wanted Doc to do us a mix for our 2010 Producers to Watch special, but with our usual timing we caught him the night before he jetted off to India for a month. But now he’s back, and he’s recorded us a full length FACT mix full of bashment vocals and, yes, tropical flavours. Deadboy, Deep Teknologi, DJ Gregory, Martyn and plenty of Daneeka’s own material feature.
