The DJ Known as Southpaw 7 Followers

When Mike aka Southpaw grew up in a small rural town in W.V. As a child his mother bought him tons of 45 records. Even at the age of 8 after getting the "Break Dance" record on the label K-tel he wanted to be a turntable DJ. After finishing high school Mike moved to Ft. Bragg, Fayetteville, N.C. in January of 96. He had no idea where he had landed, right in the middle of a budding DJ and dance music culture. In just a few short months he went from going to shows to watch DJ's from all over the world, to spending all his money on tables, wax, headphones and needles. And so it began... Now over the last 16 years Southpaw has played all over , and played everything from Ragga Jungle to Electro to Dubstep, and back. After spending 13 years mastering beat mixing and scratching on tables he wanted something new. About 3 years ago long time friend, and music collaborator, John Blaze showed him all the wonders of midi controllers and Ableton Live. And the itch to scratch and mix was back!
