In a small village in the mid-90s, far away from big city clublife, Dex Dexter found his musical addiction by fiddeling around with two HiFi CD-players. Magazines like Spex or Frontpage and the weekly radio-show ‚The Steve Mason Experience‘ on BFBF1 have been the most essential influences in these days and the addiction to electronic dance music increased more and more. The CD-players have been replaced by two 1210 MKII and the first club-gigs followed in 1999.

With the beginning of Dex‘ ‚Frankfurter Phase‘ in 2001 his involvement with techno and its different styles and sub-genres was pushed forward by the engagement as booker and resident DJ at legendary L.O.F.T.-House and the special flair of a vibrant metropolis. From this time Dex‘ sound is the incarnation of his obsession: shiny but deep, techno but disco.
