With over 20 years as a DJ veteran, Native Chicagoan DJ XEL currently lives in Minneapolis where he’s known to get the party jumping with his diverse music selection and signature sound that blends old school funk and disco infused with new school flavor. Recently named co-host of the international radio show “Funk Yeah! FM” with J Matthews on www.chfmworldwide.com, DJ XEL always looks for new and creative ways to bring music and people together.

Influenced by masters including Hot Mix 5, Frankie Knuckles, Ron Hardy, Mark Farina, and Derrick Carter as well as DJ Sneak, Cajmere, DJ Colette, DJ Heather, DJ Psycho-Bitch, 3 Degrees, Doc Martin, DJ Spen, and DJ Oji, to name a few, DJ XEL looks to innovate new sounds while staying well-grounded in the history and legacy of Chicago house music.
