If when the mix series was first set up, someone had told me we would reach DJSoc010, I would have said they were crazy. But this morning, the eagle landed, and DJSoc010 had arrived in my inbox, bringing an hour of driving house and electro from ex DJ Society president and Bang Bang resident Jamie Ings. Winner of the 2009 Kissy Sell Out DJ Competition and having toured with local dance brand Slinky, Jamie is no stranger to moving a dancefloor, having shared the DJ booth with the likes of Annie Mac, Fake Blood and Pete Tong. Here Jamie demonstrates why he has held such privileged positions, upping the dancefloor barometer to dangerous levels, and unloading onto us an hour of hip-shaking house thumpers, where Latino vibes rub shoulders with electro savagery, and techno rumblers give way to swathes of catchy vocals.
