Roller Disco Mixtape
A collection of music that either has roller-themed lyrics/cover art, was popular at roller rinks, or has aesthetics influenced by that classic, mid-tempo, roller boogie groove. All Vinyl. No Serato Bullshit. Mixtape made as part of my undergrad senior project on the history of roller disco. This was recorded using only two turntables and a mixer. So, yes, the transitions could be better, but I wanted the tape to be as close as possible to a DJ set you might have heard at the quirkiest 1985 roller rink that never existed. I tried to record it in one single take, but I'm a novice DJ still working on my beat matching/mixing skills. So, I cut and pasted the best two takes together at about 1/3 of the way through. Not as "authentic," but I am happy with the results and hope you enjoy! ALL SKATE!
