DJ’ing was a passion which he lived with, was part of it day and night. Séance 1997 Dex – T started off as a bedroom DJ and eventually progressed in to the mobile scene under ‘BEATS INTERNATIONAL’ Event company.. Dex - T's best feature will always be his mixing “style”, a true show that awarded him his immense popularity. In 2006 Dex - T took place in Sri Lanka's first all-island DENON DJ competition organized by D&M Electronics, Singapore
He was awarded as the 2nd runner- up at the DENON DJ competition held on 25 November 2006 at the Hotel Taj Samudra
