Let’s start off with that venerable icon, Mr. B.B. King. The dude just doesn’t get enough credit as a blues vocalist. (BTW, someone told me he never sings at the same time he’s playing Lucille. And there’s some serious hip-shakin’ to be had as Lil' Ed & the Blues Imperials get downright naughty in “Christmas Time”. This is dedicated to Shemekia Copeland. Your “Stay A Little Longer, Santa” is destined to become every bit the timeless sexy holiday standard that Eartha Kitt's “Santa Baby” is. Thanks for keeping the blues alive with that stops-you-dead-in-your-tracks voice of yours.
