Mother Funker #24 is a very special show featuring an interview of DJ Gilla. He is the man behind the label First Word Records, founder and label manager.
First Word Records is an independent label, created in Leeds in 2003, now based in London. With artists like Homecut, Souleance or Tall Black Guy, the label releases some of the best music you might hear these days. I recorded the interview with DJ Gilla after we met at the record store day in London. He tells the story of the label and the stories of the artists he is working with.
