The Blue Room on BBC Radio 1, with Chris Coco and Rob Da Bank, was my favorite radio show in the mid-2000s. Chris' Melodica show is a current favorite. So, yes, I'd love to play a set opening for Chris, at an August sunshine party, on the Dalmatian coast, on a boat!

About the music: "Beautiful Otherness" is one of the many classic tunes I first heard on The Blue Room. Legends Donny Hathaway, Kenny Burrell, and Stanley Turrentine bring the retro summertime vibes, while Sun Airway from my hometown of Philadelphia provides some hazy 21st century bliss. Beats from Ontario, Buenos Aires via Barcelona, and Paris complete the global picture (that's Junior Boys, Natalia Clavier, and Caro & Garcia respectively).

Wow -- love it. It's kind of an ethereal brain massage. Makes me feel like I've just landed on a tropical island, peeled the city off of my clothes, jumped in the ocean for the first few minutes and then eased over to the bar where something alcoholic with lime was waiting for me and where I would be surrounded by, and become fluid in, a crowd of people who just "get it"....... oh shoot it's over... already?

Quite enjoyable listen, especially for a rainy spring Sunday afternoon in the south of France, where I am at the moment. Excellent choice of music. Nice transitions. It's all in the mix of music, not in the mixing ;-) Good luck!

Thanks for listening! It's true that tracks like these don't always lend themselves to mixing, especially when there's a real drummer! So I try for simple transitions that are easy on the ears. Glad you liked the Caro & Garcia selection, it should have been a single!

You definitely have a better grasp of Chris' ethos, unlike myself! I was not impressed with the mixing. However, your selection of music was top shelf and the variation does not lend to a pure mixing compilation. On the whole I liked it... and I absolutely LOVED the Caro & Garcia track!
