Big Basha a.k.a. Robert Matthews is an authority on bass music in Buffalo. For this, the fifth Exit Music Mix, Basha is breaking down genre barriers. The challenge of working with everything from hip hop, to Led Zeppelin, dubstep, to the Roots, to his own personal productions is to make the tracks feel like they're cohesive, to make them feel like they belong together even if the tracks have extremely varying characteristics. "I went through a lot of hours sifting through my collection of digital music to bring something ultimately fresh and up to date while aiming for the total package," Basha said about this mix.
