Today's show featured an interview I did with Fireman Dave about Operation Florian. This is a charity effort to raise funds to take a fire engine over to a part of Serbia that has recently had all of its fire engines destroyed. Dave spoke about the fundraising club night 'Blazing To Serbia' last Saturday where lots of Manchester bands played, including my band WOMB! The show also featured lots of PJ Harvey to get listeners (those fortunate enough to be going) revved up for seeing PJ Harvey at the Manchester Apollo in the evening, 2 days after her second Mercury Prize for her latest and enchanting album Let England Shake!
