Wheelers, dealers, hawkers, hucksters, pushers 'n' peddlers Having aired a percussive boogie-bop tune by Hilton Felton a few weeks back, synchronicity was again at play with a Best Of Hilton Felton LP announced this week, so we ended the show with the under-celebrated keyboardist. It was also the week that a Facebook post hawking '60s Hammond-led hipster trio The Peddlers caught my eye, so what better way to introduce Hilton than wheel out their smoky-cool take on the classic 'In The Still Of The Night'. But hang on, we're pushing the arse-end of the show, 80 minutes B4 that it was a batch of old-school funk dealers (Fatback, Homebrew, CFS, a Stevie-channelling Leroy Burgess et al) plus disco & hip hop hucksters. We also aired more of (& gave away) the new Quakers album we're so enamoured with, as well as dipping into a new Lord Funk/DJ Moar collaboration & more Tape Edit gems from new faves Check The Guns.
